Goals
WELCOMING COMMUNITY: To build a welcoming community for all
- To empower youth and young adults to develop a responsible and mature personal relationship with Christ.
- To rally youth and young adults to be excited about their faith.
- To provide a safe spiritual sactuary for youth and young adults who need hope dealing with current life issues.
- To bring youth and young adults to experience the love of God.
EVANGELIZATION: To communicate the Gospel to all people
- To alert the parish and the community at large to the needs of youth and young adults by translating, deciphering and communicating those needs in an effective way.
- To serve as an ambassador of youth and young adult ministries for inter and intra parish ministries.
- To build relationships, mentoring youth and young adults with their families in order to channel them to intra parish ministries.
- To translate the ways of youth and young adults with the parish and vice versa.
CALLING: To call forth leaders made up of divers peoples
- To lead by example, bearing the persona of a Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- To train youth and young adults to be leaders by calling forth their gifts and talents while working with other adult leaders awakening them to the fact that their calling is rooted in their baptism.
COLLABORATION: To collaborate with different ministries
- To collaborate with Religious Education by assisting them with the needs of CCD and Confirmation through channeling of competent leaders.
- To collaborate with the parish at large through participation in special events, making assessable the gifts and talents of the youth and young adults.
THE INTERIOR LIFE/WORKS OF MERCY: To build an interior life that will lead to works of mercy made manifest
- To encourage youth and young adults to strive to be saints through Adoration of the Eucharist and True Devotion to Mary.
- To provide youth and young adults with opportunities to enhance their overall spirituality through facilitation of retreats and recollections.
- To expose youth and young adults to guest speakers and workshops that enriches the entire person.
WORSHIP: To bring youth and young adults to worship God in and outside Church
- To lead youth and young adults to an active and valid participation in the Mass.
- To partner with existing liturgical ministries to brainstorm ways to allow youth and young adults to have an active and valid participation in the Mass.
- To empower youth and young adults to take ownership of the Mass, while at the same time educating them on the purpose of the Mass.
